A Dog’s Intuition *FAIL*

These are the dog days of August, so it’s an appropriate time for a canine tale.

We’ve all heard of a dog’s intuition and those amazing stories of these animals traveling hundreds of miles to their homes. Well, in this case, that didn’t quite happen.

I was typing up the daily record today when I came across this amusing story:

A report was received at 1:59 p.m. Thursday that a stray dog was attempting to enter a house in the 1400 block of Maple St. It was discovered that the dog had the right house number but the wrong street. It was returned to the correct residence one block west.

To be fair, I have no idea if this Rover(?) has a medical condition that affects his/her senses (or was it drunk???), but on the face of it, I thought it was rather funny. At least it made it home!
