KALISPELL OFFERS DOUG RUSSELL CITY MANAGER CONTRACT
Kalispell, Montana – The Kalispell City Council announced that Doug Russell, current city manager in Yankton, SD, has been hired as Kalispell City Manager. Mr. Russell has approved the contract offered, and the City Council will review and formally approve the contract at its regular meeting on April 16th. Once formally approved, Mr. Russell is expected to begin his new position June 18, 2012.

With his wife Lara, also a Montana State graduate, he moved to Colorado and began working for the City and County of Denver. During this time, he earned a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Russell has since served as a city manager in Wyoming, Kansas, and currently in Yankton, South Dakota, population 14,500.
